If your weekend plans include a trip to Lesser Town, you might want to follow the latest Prague transport news.

The Malostranská station on the A line, frequently used by tourists to access Prague Castle and other important attractions, is currently out of service.

Water leaking from the toilets to the escalators led to the closing of the station shortly after 11 am.

Trains are currently passing through the station and public access to the metro is closed because the escalators have been stopped.

A representative for the Prague transport company told Aktulane.cz that the station should be reopened around 5 pm.

According to the most recent update from the DPP.cz website, the stop is still closed.

Fire brigade is currently on hand in an effort to help rid the station of water damage.
