Summer maintenance work on many of Prague’s tram lines will disrupt 26 tram routes in the capital, with most of the changes affecting the city center and Holešovice.

Maintenance work will begin on June 29 and last indefinitely, though the majority of the work will be complete by early September.

Three major parts of Prague will be affected by the repair works. These are:

  • Wenceslas Square (Upper section) – June 29 to Oct. 1
  • Anděl (Nádražní Street) – Closed off from June 29 to July 11
  • Strossmayerovo náměstí-Výstaviště – No route between these two stops from June 29 to Sept. 2

In addition to these three areas, trams will not run in Prague 4’s Na Zámecké Street, and the current route outage between Palmovka and Libeň Bridge to the east of the center will continue until further notice.

Here is an overview of the tram lines that will be affected by the repair work, as outlined by the Prague Public Transport Company (DPP).
