Japan of the Samurai

An exceptional collection of Japanese swords from the 13th-19th centuries will be on display at Prague’s Clam-Gallas Palace, presented under the patronage of the city’s Mayor and the Embassy of Japan in the Czech Republic. Along with the swords, including a collection from distinguished swordsman Matsuba Ichiro, samurai armor and other thematic artifacts will also be on display.

The largest Swan Lake in the world

Catch a world record brought to you by the International Festival Ballet at the Prague Congress Centre, whereby 48 swan ballerinas will take to the stage—the usual number of white swans in Swan Lake is 16-24. Prepare for a meat-fuelled food coma after attending the Killer Feast at the pub Na Slamníku in Prague 6. The butcher will prepare a range of slaughterhouse delicacies including  jitrnice, zabijačkový goulash, intestines, prejt, and ovárek, all served with Roztoč bread and the classic Únětice or Prazdroj beer. Brandies will also be available to try, and you can watch the butcher prepare the food right in front of you, accompanied by music from an accordion.
